Rise Up!
We pay valuable money to sit there and learn insignificant information that has no use in our everyday lives. So the question is, what are they teaching us in return for the food on their table?... How to effectively strip a student of their self-worth; how to convince someone into doing something which in turn, is a disadvantage to them and how to waste enough time which allows you to check your facebook on your laptop, whilst there is a room full of people waiting on something constructive to do. Those are just a few examples from personal experience and if we all came together I’m sure we could reflect upon many more.
Now please enlighten me, how many times on the weekend do you get excited about going to the beach to chill with your friends, only to find that you have countless homework and 2 assignments that need to be finished? Well this my fellow students is the consequence of your teacher overhearing your plans and intentionally setting an incalculable load of work because you have a life and they don’t!
My fellow companions, the time has come to throw out the disgrace someone decided to call a teacher and learn something beneficial for a change. Join me in the overthrow of those retched beings and together we will conquer all!
With vigor in our hearts and one gaol in our sights, they will remember us for this. Astonished and dazed they will run and hide at the sight of our iron fist of freedom. Breakdown and crie as we grab them by the tie and throw them down the up stairs while pouring their life giving coffee down their beautifully clean toilets. Tear down the COLA! Do not stop until every air conditioner, computer and overhead projector is burnt into a pitiful pile of ash.
Today is not a dark, forgetable day, no.
Yes it is the ending of the rotten disease that is teacher reign. It also the begining of a bright new day. One filled with hope, pride and a new begining, and that my friends you cannot learn out of any textbook. Students, my friends, my fellow prisoners, i urge you to hold your head high and make tho most of this glorious day and leave your mark on history, forever.
Tests, reports, letters home. Are these not more hurtful and wounding than a few insults slung at you from some pimply adolescent?
These people have been blackmailing you to do their countless, thousand word essays within one short, preoccupied week.
These people have punished you outrageously for minor incidents like looking at your phone or not being at the classroom the second that they commanded.
These are the brutal guards of this institution of supposed ‘Education’, enforcing pointless and degrading laws upon you.
These are the people who are deciding your fate based on nothing other than numbers and scores on a page.
These people wake you up at 7 in the morning and only dismiss you at 3, loaded with pointless and painful homework.
117000 days of your lives are being wasted by these cruel, monstrous beings! 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, 200 days a year, 13 years of your life! Wasted!
For too long we have sat in silence, obeying their orders, fearing for our futures! No more! Throw out your calculators, burn your textbooks, destroy your uniforms!
It is time to put an end to all these atrocities that we, and countless others, have endured at the hands of these monsters!
Their rule ends today!

We, the youth, the ones with ‘all that energy’, should be the guiders, not the guided, or should I say, misguided. We are being taught lessons that were relevant to our parent’s time. The world around us is constantly changing and improving, yet the quality of teaching remains the same as thirty years ago. Should we be taught to build a fire with flint and stone when they have invented matches?
Not only are these hypocrites teaching us the wrong lessons, they are teaching us the wrong lessons the wrong way. It has been proven over and over that forcing students to write overheads all day long is inefficient and ineffective. How many times have you just written down the words on an overhead, and totally zoned out while doing so?
We do not learn by this out-of-date method of ‘so called teaching’. It is their turn to be taught, and boy, will we make good teachers (crowd cheers).
So rise up with me today! We will not be freed from this unjust oppression unless we have the courage to embrace the change our ancestors didn’t!
Josiah
We Are the Future!
Geeration Y is here to prove that it is game on, between you, me ... and those acclaiming to be our educators!
If they are so called 'educators'why is it that our academic abilities are being disregarded? These senile has-beens just want to lock away the talent of tomorrow and dispose of the key, never to see us successfully rise to being able to tackle life's obstacles.
Our arrogant teachers think they can manipulate us into abiding by a list of rules. I am sorry ... I am certain I don't see teachers tucking their shirts in, pulling THEIR hair back, or dying THEIR hair an appropriate colour? So exactly, how do they think this sets a good example for us, as students, to follow?
And no ... I DO NOT appreciate having to speak up and be made to give an answer in class ... yes that is right, I'd much rather talk to my friend on the left instead. In addition, no ... I will not happily be embarrassed to read the next two paragraphs of the novel, especially as I don't know where we are up to. Yes ... I may be texting in class ... to my mother ... but I have a dentist appointment! The health and wellbeing of my teeth means a hell of a lot more to me than you and your draining monotone voice constantly filling my ears. Stand up for your rights, stand up against teachers wasting our time, rise up to live the future you want to live today!
So here is the fascinating fact, their scribble of notes on the board really needs to improve, to escalate above the intellectual experience of graffitti I am recieving from the back of the chair in front of me.
Over the four years of education we recieve at high school, we are expected to have our knowledge broadened, but it is compressed due to their incapability of being able to control our genius minds working hard against them to build a better future.
NO MORE!
Times are changing my fellow classmates! We are the future and we do not have to stand the unjust educators.
So, I ask you, do we sit in silence or rise up?
Generation Y, We are here to prove that it is game on between you, me ... and those acclaiming to be our educators!
They have constantly been inventing new weaponry to blast us with- essays, assignments, tests and homework, which, with every hit have made us more and more determined to seek revenge. Too much of our lives' is being wasted trying to get rid of these weapons which are destroying our precious youth. Our childhood is ticking away and all of our spare time is now spent focusing on what these so called 'Teachers' throw at us from every direction.
There is only one way we will overcome this outrageous war and that is to fight together and show our enemy what we're made of . No longer will we be pushovers, we will claim back our dignity, pride and our lives. It is time we stand up for our rights and finish this war, not only for ourselves but for everyone who has fought this battle before and failed. As a team we can and will win this and at last we will be FREE!
Persuasive Speech
Friends, bullies, alliances alike. We must take command and overthrow the figures of hate and education in our lives! Figures of hate you say? Who else, but the teachers? The ones who are paid to brainwash, threaten and, in every way, make our lives hell?
The devil wears prada, does he? Well our devils have chalk and overheads! Haven’t we been put through enough already? Haven’t our parents, and our grandparents, suffered the same way we have? Haven’t our ancestors, for generations,* been forced to endure the same ordeals as us?
Enough is enough! We must not let them threaten us any longer! Let’s all feed our homework to our dogs! We’ll suffer no more at the hands of these morons! Let’s ignore their ludicrous realms of non-monic quadratic trinomials and heterozygous geneotypes. The truth is, my friends, our lives will go on without this dribble!
No more good morning year tens! It’ll be goodnight to our teachers!
Casey
* I wasn't sure if 'ancestors, for generations' was tautology or not?
"Throw Out Teachers, More Time For Beachers"
For too long we have let these people rule our lives and worst of all we pay them to ruin our lives. Firstly, they send us home with ounces of pointless homework that they couldn’t be bothered to teach us in class and it all has to be completed by the next day. Have some consideration! We do have five other subjects that might also involve homework and the teachers complain about how hard it was to mark all of our sheets. I mean how hard is it to draw a tick and a cross? I would trade marking for homework any day. Then on top of the homework we have an assignment to finish in a week’s time because they think a week is long enough. If you bring the assignment late they take 10% off every day. So even if we’ve done the assignment but accidentally forgot to bring it in they take marks off. Have you ever had a teacher who has come to class and forgot to bring something with them? Do we get to take 10% off their pay cut? Of course not.
I bet you can all recall at least once a teacher telling you to put that phone or iPod away, sometimes they even take them off you as a punishment. Does it end there? No! On top of that there’s a possible detention or even a morning detention and a trip to my favourite teacher’s office, Mrs Mahoney. If the teachers have a phone it’s quite alright and can you take their phone and give them a detention? I don’t think so. For example, the other day in class, my so called maths teacher received a call from a person unknown and was I or anyone else allowed to stand up and tell her off? No! Instead I would have received punishment and would be spending some more quality time with Mrs Mahoney. Another thing that I have recognised about teachers, they are liars! Although they would disagree with this statement I have proof. Take the parent teacher interview night for instance. As you sit in that chair listening to how the teachers are going on with other gibberish and saying what a good student you are, they are really thinking to themselves “This kid is an absolute loser, why I could crack him one over the head right now,” while at the same time you’re thinking “Well that’s not what you wrote on my report card dopey.” Is it because they are scared of the parents?
What about uniforms? How many times has a teacher asked you to tuck that shirt in, have the correct matching uniform or wear the right jewellery? Even though, as they are asking you there shirt is hanging out and they don’t have the same type of shirt or shorts as any other teacher. Also if you want to bring a drink in or turn the fans on during a hot day to cool down, you are constantly refused. It’s okay for them, they get to sit up there in there nice little staff room with their drink that is nice and cool from the fridge and they aren’t feeling any heat because of their lovely gigantic air conditioner.
So as you can see for too long we have let them ruin our lives. It’s time we all stood up and took charge. Please, my friends, enemies and people who have ever had problems with a teacher stand beside me as we fight to destroy the teacher race. Imagine a life without teachers, WHAT A LIFE!
Ps. I didn’t base any of this on you Mr Goodwin so my report should stay sweet! ;)
Ol' Major's speech in Animal Farm (Chapter 1)
themselves comfortable and were waiting attentively, he cleared his throat
and began:
"Comrades, you have heard already about the strange dream that I had last
night. But I will come to the dream later. I have something else to say
first. I do not think, comrades, that I shall be with you for many months
longer, and before I die, I feel it my duty to pass on to you such wisdom
as I have acquired. I have had a long life, I have had much time for
thought as I lay alone in my stall, and I think I may say that I
understand the nature of life on this earth as well as any animal now
living. It is about this that I wish to speak to you.
"Now, comrades, what is the nature of this life of ours? Let us face it:
our lives are miserable, laborious, and short. We are born, we are given
just so much food as will keep the breath in our bodies, and those of us
who are capable of it are forced to work to the last atom of our strength;
and the very instant that our usefulness has come to an end we are
slaughtered with hideous cruelty. No animal in England knows the meaning
of happiness or leisure after he is a year old. No animal in England is
free. The life of an animal is misery and slavery: that is the plain truth.
Now listen carefully and think hard about what I’m about to tell you. These cunning monsters are always lurking. Waiting around every corner for us to innocently stroll along so they can verbally abuse us about the section of our shirts we missed when last tucking them in. They creep and crawl around the classroom anticipating the ring of a phone just for the satisfaction of giving us a detention.
In their air conditioned staffroom on their luxurious lounges they plot against us, thinking of ways to squeeze our great ideas out of us and claim them as their own like the deceitful plague they are! Still not convinced? Well think about this. Where do you think all our school fees go? They don’t go towards resources at our disposal, pens for our writing, paper for our words. No, our parent’s hard earned money goes straight into these disreputable fools’ pockets! Yes, we are PAYING for them to boss us around, lower our self-worth, take away our pride, without actually teaching us anything useful!
It is our time. Our time to join forces and rise up against our almighty enemy! Rise up against those sadistic, vile skeezes that force us to do things against our will. Like animals, we obey but enough is enough! Join me, brothers and sisters, in the most epic and memorable coo this world has ever seen! This is the day when students will once and for all defeat their teachers!
Oh lord, Mr Goodwin, do not go on a murderous rampage and kill me for this!
Yes, fellow students, I am speaking of the treatment we students suffer at the hands of those scumbags we are required to refer to as teachers. They force onto us incomprehensible amounts of work with which we all question often, “Is this even relevant? Will I ever need to use this crap throughout my life?” and to make our schooling days even worse, the monsters send home with us an endless supply of methods of torture. My house is for sleeping, eating, and possibly some other acts of complete awesomeness, not homework. It’s true, the devils clearly don’t get enough time tormenting us 5 days a week, 6 hours a day, hence the cruel act of sending their irrelevant work home with us.
Teachers are defined as people of compassion, who work to help younger generations receive the knowledge they need. This definition however, was quite clearly written by a teacher, or else some poor soul was forced to write this by the bullies themselves. However, I have my own simple, yet more effective description of them: A disgrace.
Further backup on the teachers and their filth, is that of urban dictionary, page 2, number 10; “Teachers in middle school and beyond are soulless bastards sent by Satan”. And on that very same page, number 14; “A power hungry pervert who likes to be around children but also likes to be dominant. Usually was picked on as a child.”
Clearly teachers aren’t so dominant after all.
It is time to show teachers the true meaning of high school spirit. What we students are truly capable of. To overthrow our bully leaders, we create a better environment to learn in.
To be honest, there is nothing remotely human about a teacher; their actions towards us students are inhumane and the highest possible act of cruelty. We will take this no more. We will stand strong together, and riot our displeasure. Students, say yes to communism.
“Those who deny freedom to others, deserve it not for themselves.” Abraham Lincoln states this during his days as politician. Does this famous quote, not depict what teachers are currently doing to us students? They take away our most simplistic rights, and expect for us to honor them as our power hungry leaders, performing countless rituals under their control. We will stand this no longer! We deserve to be able to answer our phones in school hours; it could be an emergency.
We deserve to be able to listen to our music in class; we might need inspiration.
We deserve to wear our hair out; to warm our bare necks.
We deserve to wear banned accessories; to show our uniqueness
We deserve to be able to dye our hair extravagant colours; we don’t want to look like we have feces on our heads.
We deserve to back chat; we have the right to be heard, to voice our opinions.
They are the enemy! Stop bulling between yourselves and focus on the real target – four eyed, balding, heartless beasts that are as old as the Stone Age itself. They do not deserve the freedom and power they currently hold!
Fellow students, let us stand together, and fight for recognition and respect, freedom and power.
Until we have conquered the school yards and dominated the class rooms, we will riot. We will destroy anything in our path, cause uttermost havoc.
Until we have our freedom fellow students, classmates, peers and friends; “We don’t need no education.”

Our time has come, to rise up and to take control. Too long have we been subject to the every whim of our techers bidding. Too long have we been told what to do, say or even think! Join me my friends in this revolt against these oppressors. Burn your books, burn your uniforms. We will walk out of this prison and be free of this torture that they call "education".
We will suffer them no more!
Operation: Educate the Educators
Stand up, in unity, to rip from their hands, the power which has allowed them to pull our strings, for we are no puppets. We are human beings. They should not control how we dress, what to say or when to say it. Today we make history. It is a day when the educators become the educated, for we will teach them a lesson they will never forget, the most important lesson of all: If you mess with children watch out 'cos their gonna' mess with you.
We will show these hypocrites a spirit they would never have deemed imaginable. Were they not kids once? We are forced to put up with these injustices, and for what, revenge? Is it out of spite that they cast their authority over us? This is not tolerable. It is not acceptable. Most of all it is not justified.
Put aside your petty differences for the pursuit of a common enemy. When their backs are turned we shall drive a dagger deep into their backs, when they stare at us with an cold, sinister glare, strike them in the face. They won't know what hit them. They will feel the helplessness we have felt as their world crumbles around them. Don't keep lugging around those heavy text books which have been our burden. [Book burning demonstration]
Let these be the symbol of our undying flame. If their ever were a group of freedom fighters, let us be the most memorable. These injustices which clutch at our chests will cower in submission to our might.
Join me and you shall not be forgotten. Join me and your cries will be heard. Join me and onlookers will see the injustices which have kept you in silence. Save slinking off in the shadows for the teachers. Join me in the limelight and show these cowards how you can use this cruel, torturous pain which they have gifted you with. March with me, take up this banner, sing the song of freedom which marks this triumphant day.[pause] Yes, we will triumph, let our motto be that "small is powerful"*
We simply strive for peace. We aim to rid the world of this continual spiral of injustice, fed by the injustices of the past. Today we save not only our own minds from psychological injury but protect the innocence of thousands of future children. This work is only within our duty. To our generation and the next hundred generations.
climb onto this band-wagon of freedom, 'cos it's rollin' through Lochinvar today and no darn teacher's gonna' get in its way. If you join this freedom inspired and ever proud parade we will put a stop to this massacre, so ugly it approaches the brutality of a holocaust, we will prevail!
As Nixon once said, "Let's go get 'em boys."**
*A quote from 'the Save-'Ems,' a popular kids TV program.
**As on Futurama
The time is upon us!
STOP! For too long, comrades, we have tolerated, no, worse; we have paid for this utter torture. Join me and rise up, let us take our rightful power back. You know that their time is coming to an end. We MUST unify and watch our flag ascend into the blood red skies.
We are branded with this uniform. Like animals we a branded, our dignity stripped. Our individuality is stolen. No more! We will be strong in mind and body. We will not be herded, we will not be stripped of our substance. But they will know the strength of our character and will fear it most religiously.
We are smothered with the pointless drudgery they call homework. We submit ourselves to monotonous work. They have successfully divided us. No more! We will not be conquered! They overload us with work. They cheat us of our precious childhood. A childhood we deserve. They push their twisted ideals unto us and turn us against each other. We become minions for the enemy, our impressionable minds become prejudiced. No more! No more will we be distracted by our quest for each other’s blood. Rank will lose meaning. We must unify to overthrow this malignant power. We will watch with pride our victory.
We are indoctrinated with unjust, freedom-squashing rules. They stand on their platform and command us, us the common people. We are oppressed. We are caged by contradictory rules. Our wings beat on the gilded cage. Our cries for basic human decency have fallen on deaf ears for too long. No more can we tolerate. No more will we tolerate!
They have grinded down our spirit and we are withering at their unjust hands. But they cannot take away our passion. The institution that has enslaved us for too long, but no more! The fire that burns in our hearts will rise up and become reflections in our eyes as we watch with glee and triumph as it burns. And oh my how bright those flames will burn! And with it the dictators who have tried to divide and conquer us will be no more! No more comrades, friends, no more. What joy we will get from their pitiful cries and pathetic pleads! Let us unite in victory and get the freedom that has been denied us for too long but no more.
Teachers are criminals! Who are they to put limits to us? Who are they to tell us what to wear and where to pierce our bodies? They put us on detention if we do not conform to what they want, and you never hear anything about what we want. They rob us of our creativity and our passion and that’s the real crime.
Teachers are safety hazards! Now, no names are mentioned here, but I do recall seeing a certain someone in a jungle filled of undomesticated teens with a burning cup of Coffee each lunchtime, don’t even get me started on “Stumpy” (a metal baseball bat in which Mr G uses to help him and or us think). Such hypocrites, they choke me like an infestation of maggots smother a dead carcass. They tell us not to run with scissors, stay away from the gas taps and don’t forget the majorly horrific act of not tucking your shirt in. They are putting all of us in danger with their burning souls of coffee and there deceitful ways.
Teachers who are old and have lost their passion for teaching aka Mrs Melville should be banned. Banned from our schools and banned from our lives, as we are now going to rise up and show the world that we can survive without teachers.
Life experiences are worth more than any teacher can teach. We never stop learning and we never stop dreaming, and we definitely don’t need teachers!
:) molly
Persuasive Text
Students are the future, we are being held back from our potential. Teachers are petrified because they know what our minds are capable of, so they fit us in a certain curriculum and rot our imagination and creativity. They cannot stand us being smarter then them, so we are brainwashed into believing that we need to get an education, go to university, get a nicely paid job, settle down then squeeze out a few children. This is the ideal life they are preparing us for, the so called ‘happier life.’
Too long we have been the robots it’s our time with the controller.
Rise up for teen freedom.
Doesn’t everyone get annoyed at some stage in their lives?
Well, for me, it all started at school.
Are you all like me and have a life out of school?
Well, teachers seem to have a different outlook on this issue. Why give us so much homework to do, when we already spend six hours a day, five days a week, doing what they want us to do. I have got a little piece of information for you all, get everything that has something to do with school, even your uniform, and shred it to bits, burn it, I don’t care, but make it vanish!
I mean who really needs teachers? All they do is boss us around and tell us to stop bullying. I think they should take a step back and have another look at who the real bullies are here. All they do is yell down our throats, which on makes their hair grey.
The teachers want to control us; they want us to be their little robots that do what they want us to do when they say. Unfortunately, this is not going to be in the teachers favour for much longer, not after we all deal with them and tell them what we think. We will win the battle.
Why give us assignments? Teachers give us assignments because they are too lazy to give us the time in class to complete them. This will no longer be happening, not after we are finished telling them that this will NOT be happening. We will win the battle.
Finally, follow in our footsteps and it will lead you to a better future. You better go, as you have some destroying to be done!!!
The Chains of Education
Homework is a teacher’s ace-in-the-hole – forget a proper lesson, just beat a child down with a folder. Homework is just a damned tool! Homework depresses children so much they paper-cut themselves until they bleed with every sheet.
And do the teachers care about their students’ happiness? No! They tell you they don’t want to load you down, laughing their way to the bank. The cheque in your teacher’s pocket is more valuable than any paper you give to them.
Let us not cower in the corner, bowing to the teacher’s every will. We will not kiss the feet of the heartless tyrants that shackle us with homework every single day!
Rise up! Let our books burn in flames! Rise up! We are this nation’s future! Will we be brainwashed to commit the same mistakes that our parents?
Fellow students, let us rise up! Rip those uniforms, let your hate burst at every seam!
Do not let them tell you how to look, how to act. Do not let them tell you who you are. You know who are, so do not listen to any self-serving half-wit who tells you otherwise.
The teachers will try to restrain you. They want to control you. That is their power.
But we will cut every string; every single chain that these teachers have tied to our wrists. We will break free!
For every slip of paper given out to bring us shame, we will break free!
For every time we are punished because we refuse to conform, we will break free!
For every minute spent wasted, for every dollar spent to be educated by those gluttonous fools, we will break free!
And finally, standing on the shore of freedom, glancing out towards the horizon of hope, we will cry out victoriously as one.
And we shall be free.
Matthew Rudge
