Doesn’t everyone get annoyed at some stage in their lives?
Well, for me, it all started at school.
Are you all like me and have a life out of school?
Well, teachers seem to have a different outlook on this issue. Why give us so much homework to do, when we already spend six hours a day, five days a week, doing what they want us to do. I have got a little piece of information for you all, get everything that has something to do with school, even your uniform, and shred it to bits, burn it, I don’t care, but make it vanish!
I mean who really needs teachers? All they do is boss us around and tell us to stop bullying. I think they should take a step back and have another look at who the real bullies are here. All they do is yell down our throats, which on makes their hair grey.
The teachers want to control us; they want us to be their little robots that do what they want us to do when they say. Unfortunately, this is not going to be in the teachers favour for much longer, not after we all deal with them and tell them what we think. We will win the battle.
Why give us assignments? Teachers give us assignments because they are too lazy to give us the time in class to complete them. This will no longer be happening, not after we are finished telling them that this will NOT be happening. We will win the battle.
Finally, follow in our footsteps and it will lead you to a better future. You better go, as you have some destroying to be done!!!
Grace, I absolutely agree that assignments are just an excuse - an escape plan. I love how you, after every sentence, pull back and show that we, the students, are doing everything we're asked to, and are still punished.
ReplyDeleteThe robot thing - really good metaphor (wish I'd thought of it).
Favourite part though is the call to action. The battle cry. I reckon you could lead the whole of Australia's youth into battle with just that one, powerful speech.
Great work :)
Grace, I think the opening line of your speech definately grabs the audiences attention and interest which is very effective in making me want to read on. Your use of repetition in 'We will win the battle'makes your speech sound very powerful and inspiring to stand up for our rights.Your have also used statistics in your speech(eg.6 hours a day, 5 days a week), which makes your speech seem very professional and shows the effort you have put into this speech.
ReplyDeleteWell Done Grace! :)
